Happy Birthday Hedgehog

I am loving the new special delivery quickutz card die set.  It is one of my favorite sets from quickutz.  Using the round card dies I made this birthday card along with a Penny Black hedgehog stamp.  Too cute.

Couple Card

Hello Everyone.  Sorry I have not been posting much lately.  I have been feeling under the weather and had no energy to spare for getting on the computer.

I do hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with family and friends.  We got a bit of a blizzard here on the east coast and not sure what will be open and what will be closed today.  Keep warm out there.  :)

Today I am posting a anniversary card for my sister-in-law and her husband.  Happy Anniversary to them!

Take Care!

Painting Another Box for a boy

First I started by taking off all the hardware on the box to get it ready for painting.

Next,  I painted the box a cherry red.  I needed to add two to three more colors.  The colors chosen were green, orange and white.  Using the three colors orange, green and white I decorated the top of the box with various sizes of circles.  Once that was all dry the whole box was given several layers of varnish.

Now it is ready to go under the tree!

Pink Jewelry Box

This year I wanted to give my family members things I made.  A painted jewelry box is one of the things I wanted to make as a gift.  Painting free hand is not the easiest thing to do for me but I did my best.  Hopefully, the present will be well recieved.

First, I found this box at my local craft store.  The person that is receiving this box loves pink so that became the base color. Then I free handed little flowers and designs on the box.  Once that dried it was time to varnish the box so it would be protected.

We decided to add glitter to the varnish because the receiver wanted it to be glittery!

I have a few more items to make so have a great day!

Christmas Card time.......

I am finishing up the last of my Christmas Cards for the season.  Most of them have been mailed and it is one more thing that can be checked off the list.  *Sigh*  The next thing that needs to be checked off the list is tags for the presents.

I am just waiting on my friend Bernadette's die cuts she made me to arrive in the mail.  I ordered Santa and Mrs. Claus head die cuts from her ebay store "Brockadoodle Treasures". As soon as those arrive I can get that task done and cross another item off my list.  Thanks B!

The Pink Elephant Challenge #90

I have been making Christmas Cards with non traditional colors.  Some of the cards are Christmas red and green but loving the cards that are orange, purple or green.  It is so much fun to try different things on a Christmas Card.

Another Christmas Card

There was no heat at my house today so I was making cards while waiting for the workman to come and fix the heating system.

The house is warm and toasty again and hoping it will stay that way.

Octopus Birthday Card

Ok who doesn't just love an octopus!  This stamp is adorable and it makes a lovely card.  The stamp lends its self to be colored bright colors of the ocean so your cards can be subtle or vibrant.

He is too much fun for a birthday card!

Christmas Card using Copic Markers

Ok... This is my first project using copic markers.  I am getting use to them and wanting more colors LOL.  I also realized that I need memento ink because it will work with the copic markers.

What do you think?

Too Cute

I found another cute stamp to work with today.  This stamp is called Sumpins Wrong by Mo Manning.  It is just the cutest little guy to have on a card to brighten someones day.

In today's mail I am suppose to be getting some Copic markers.  Hopefully I can have a project using Copics tomorrow.  A little nervous about using them but we will see how it goes.  :)

Sledding Card

Ok I am posting again well I just can't stop crafting today!  The ideas are keep coming so I keep creating.  It has been a great day.

My next card is a sledding stamp by Pink Cat Studio.  You can find this stamp here.  I just had to add the snowflake buttons.  It just gives it something special don't you think?

I am not ready for the snow yet but it was fun making a card with snowflakes on it.

My Little Monster

A friend of mine came up with this really cute die cut for a Santa Monster and I just had to make cards out of him for my nephews.  The Santa Monster die cuts are available at Brockadoodle Treasures on Ebay here.

The die cut comes with a cute die cut saying "Santa Thinks I'm Nice" which makes a great saying for the inside of the card.

Check out the card I made with the Santa Monster.

What card are you going to make for the children on your Christmas Card List?

Pink Cat Studio Holiday Challenge

I love to create tags at Christmas time to add to the top of a present.  Adding a colorful tag under a beautiful ribbon can really dress up a present.

It lets the person know you really think they are special!  Besides creating Christmas cards for family and friends this year I will be creating special tags for all the Christmas presents we will be giving out.

What do you do to make your presents look special?  This tag was created for the Pink Cat Studio Holiday Challenge here.
